September 30 - October 01, two-day training was held on attracting children and youth to the development of communities within the framework of the initiative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) “Children and Youth Friendly Community”.

The organizer of the event was the International Association "EuroStrategy" with financial support from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine.

For two days, 30 young people from different cities and towns of the country (Kiev, Slavyansk, Vladimir-Volynsky, Odessa, Kremenchug, Druzhkovka, Lviv, Pushcha-Voditsa, Starobelsk, Kherson, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Belozerka, Dnipro, Uman, Kharkov, New Borovaya, Bakhmut, Energodar), which passed the competitive selection, gained the knowledge necessary for conducting training events. Which subsequently will contribute to the active involvement of young people in the decision-making process in municipalities and communities. After meeting and announcing the expectations of the event, we discussed the prospects for further work and cooperation. They presented the experience and their own successful work practices in their municipalities and UTC, conducted a SWOT analysis of youth work.

During the event, they got acquainted with international and latest practices in Ukraine on attracting youth and children to social activity and the life of the community. Understood with KPI and TA: where to look, what language to speak? What do we want to achieve in the future? Based on the SWOT analysis, they summed up. We dwell in more detail on project management - From a dream to action: 9 steps for implementing any project. We examined the best practices of online communication, identifying the needs of young people and key partners in the implementation of projects on the ground. Using the principle of Peer to Peer, we discussed the principles of barrier-free communication with young people to overcome inequality in communication. They presented public organizations that can help in self-determination and active participation in the life of the community by young people. The event ended with the protection and presentation of the training programs developed over two days by all members of the groups. Summed up, shared their impressions, new ideas, discussed further interaction and plans for the future.
