13 - 19 June, 2016 the second week of training module within the School for representatives of environmental organizations was held in Puhophka, Kiev region.
Training was conducted by All-Ukrainian Environmental NGO "MAMA-86" within the framework of the project "Strengthening the capacity of local environmental non-governmental organizations" with the support of the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
On the first day, the participants presented the first module homework and provided their success stories.
Throughout the week, participants have learned how to activate the society in order to solve environmental problems; how to identify the needs of different types of communities, how to work with stakeholder groups; how to attract volunteers to environmental activities, set goals effectively, properly motivate and encourage them for the further work. Moreover participants were told how to perceive properly the "advocacy", "lobbying" and "social partnership" concepts.
The 168 hours = 10,080 minutes = 7 days of second module flew like a flash for participants. And, most importantly, the participants agreed to create a network moderated by “MAMA-86” and the Foundation of Princes-Benefactors Ostrog, that would bring together no less than 40 Eco-school graduates. The network is already planned to initiate joint projects and to release the manual on the organizational development for environmental NGOs.
