On August 9 and 10, 2018, in the framework of the training for the first group of participants of the «Child and youth friendly community» the team of "Eurostrategy" further continued its contact work with representatives of pilot municipalities.

The event was held by UNICEF in Ukraine in partnership with the National Youth Council of Ukraine - NYCUkraine. Representatives of local governments, non-governmental organizations and youth associations from different regions of Ukraine discussed the best practices of involving children and young people in making decisions that protect their rights and interests.

On the first day of the event, three areas were developed: preparation of situation analysis and the formation of an analytical report on the situation of children and young people in selected communities, the theory and practice of involving children and young people, and the development and approval of the Action Plan for the initiative. Representative of the Association Ekaterina Kovzalenko presented typical mistakes and unique practices in the preparation of the analytical report «On the state of ensuring the rights of children and youth in the community».

The second day of the training for the pilot municipalities to implement the initiative «Child and youth friendly community» was sent in a more practical way. The Monitoring and Evaluation Plan was presented: how to develop it, and most importantly, how to plan financing for the developed Action Plan. Also, importantly, the criteria for granting Status were announced.

The event was very informative, we hope for further fruitful cooperation with the participants of the initiative. Workcontinues!
