On February 13, a second working meeting was held in Ternopol as part of the implementation of the “Children and youth friendly community” initiative, with the participation of representatives of the EuroStrategy, the only one implementing partner of the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) to implement the Initiative in Ukraine. The city community begins the next stage - the development of an Action Plan, a Monitoring and Evaluation Plan for the selected areas of the initiative’s work for 2020-2022.
During the event, representatives of not only local authorities, but also public activists, members of the Youth City Council and deputies were actively involved in the work. After the presentation, the participants tried in practice to formulate tasks and activities, according to the chosen goals, and relevant indicators, for further monitoring and evaluation. A productive discussion of the filling of these documents showed the seriousness of Ternopol’s intentions to add to the existing status “Youth Capital 2020” also the status of a candidate for the title “Children and youth friendly community”.
During the visit, the experts of our organization also took part in the meeting of the Youth City Council, where they presented the initiative to youth public organizations, and got acquainted with the activities of the Ternopol Science Center.
We wish Ternopol strength and success in implementing the initiative!
