On October 2, the Eurostrategy joined the discussion on the EU Roadmap for engaging with civil society for the next 2 years. The discussion took place during the work of the Regional Forum within the framework of the EU project for the development of civil society in Ukraine.
During the event, representatives of public organizations and associations from Odessa and Nikolaev voiced the problems that they most often encounter during their activities. Among others, intensive discussion took place when discussing ways to interact with local authorities. Four priorities of the Roadmap were also presented, 4 priorities of the Roadmap were also presented, and more focused on 2 directions concerning the legal, regulatory and financial environment for non-governmental organizations. Further work continued in 3 groups in the following areas: competence, influence and sustainability. For the completion, each group presented their work.
The project was created by the EU for the development of civil society in Ukraine to strengthen Ukrainian civil society by strengthening the role of civil society organizations in the implementation and monitoring of democratic reforms and comprehensive socio-economic development in the country.
The aim of the project is to provide technical assistance to civil society organizations that seek to develop society in Ukraine, based on the values of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
