The meeting participants discussed the directions chosen by the community for further activities: “The right to be heard”, “The right to health, education and social protection”, “The right to childhood”. We paid special attention to the planned activities within the framework of the first chosen direction - the creation of the Youth Council, the maximum involvement of children and youth in decision-making and the development of the community, support for youth leaders. The expert of the Eurostrategy provided recommendations on the composition of the Youth Council, regularly conducting surveys of children and youth in the community and shared the experience of successful practices of other communities participating in the initiative. Those present dwelled in more detail on the development of an Action Plan and a Monitoring and Evaluation Plan - they dealt with the wording of goals, objectives, measures, identifying indicators, storing primary documentation and information during the implementation of the Action Plan activities.
Representatives of the community shared their first best practices and achievements within the framework of the initiative “Children and Youth Friendly Community” - a very positive moment is the active participation of the community in various project competitions to attract additional funding for activities aimed at children and youth.
The community has ambitious plans – in March to get the status of the candidate community “Children and Youth Friendly Community”!
